Lugá Alehá 6
Perched on a hill with an unobstructed, 360° ocean view
This beautiful off-grid building lot is part of a planned community of 305 hectares (750 acres) called Lugá Alehá, which means “a remote place” in Papiamentu. Access to the development is via phone- operated electric gates.
Lugá Alehá was created by a group of Dutch, American, Antillean, British and Canadian nature lovers in an effort to protect the land and enjoy it at the same time. There are 22 large lots (11 hectares or 27 acres each) and six smaller ones of about 5 hectares each. There are also several protected nature spots, all connected by the association’s own roads.
Peace & quiet in Bonaire’s pristine outback!
‘Lugá Alehá’ was created some 20 years ago by a small group of nature lovers, who were in search of a large piece of untouched land, which had it all:
• catching the tradewinds straight from over sea
• undeveloped as far as you can see
• no noise-, smell- or light-pollution
• privately owned land
They found their dream-land facing north over our rough coast. They acquired over 3 square kilometers of pristine ‘kunuku-land’ (1.17 square miles).
The entire area has two gated entrances and a strict set of bye laws, to keep this area quiet, pristine and non-polluted. All lots were sold out in no time; on approximately 50% of all properties in Lugá Alehá villas have been erected, all very comfortable, all completely off the grid.
